High Priority Plumbing is excited to announce they are a sponsor of the 2018 Frosty 5K. As a strong advocate in the community, they want you to come out and race the Frosty 5K on January 6, 2018, to support Phoenix Pass.
“We love supporting the community in events like the Frosty 5K. Activities like the 5K are not only important for a healthy quality of life but also help change lives in our community,” said Paulette Simpson, owner of High Priority Plumbing. “By registering in the Frosty 5K, you will be committing to starting the New Year with a healthy challenge while supporting a worthy cause!”
Proceeds from the 5K will benefit Phoenix Pass, Inc. They provide a nonprofit transitional housing program for single mothers with children who are experiencing homelessness. They have a total of 15 apartments to serve women with children and one apartment for a Rockdale County Sheriff’s Deputy. There is also the Administration Building with a computer lab, meeting room, and laundry room on their property. Since opening in 2010, Phoenix Pass has provided transitional housing services to 52 women and 125 children.
The Phoenix Pass/High Priority Plumbing Frosty 5K will take place at the Georgia International Horse Park and is a Peachtree Road Race Qualifier. Runners will experience the scenic beauty of the Horse Park as they race past horse arenas, stables, and open fields along with a few rolling hills.
